Laura
Williams (Orlando/Dallas/New York)
Laura has just completed her ninth season as a Radio City Rockette. As a member of Actors Equity and American Guild of Variety Artists she has performed in scores of musicals including Beauty and the Beast, My One and Only, 42nd Street, Pajama Game, and Evita. Her training includes scholarships to studios in LA, Broadway Dance Center (NYC), and graduating Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University.
She has performed from Texas to as far away as Malaysia and Singapore with dance companies, industrials, and musicals. Her work in New York includes workshops at Radio City, Lincoln Center, and the National Tap Extravaganza with Buster Brown, Jimmy Slyde, and Savion Glover. Laura has taught over twenty “Rockette Experience” master classes and “Rockette Summer Intensives” presented by NYC’s Broadway Dance Center and Madison Square Garden Entertainment. Now residing in Orlando, Laura shares her knowledge and skills with several studios throughout Florida, and she is also in demand for Musical Theater, Tap, and Jazz master workshops throughout the country. Holly
Evans (New York City)
Holly has been a Radio City Rockette for eight years and is also an assistant choreographer and dance captain for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Holly holds a BA from Butler University in Dance Pedagogy and currently attending New York University for Arts Administration. She has a diverse performing background in many forms of dance and theater. She performed with the Harrisburg Ballet, the Pennsylvania Dance Theater, the Foot and Fiddle Dance Company NY, and in the New York City Elan Awards honoring Rob Marshall. She was seen in the Off-Broadway workshop of Torched directed by Rhonda Miller and has been seen regionally in 42nd Street, Chicago, and Grease. Holly had the great opportunity to perform with Alan Cumming in a tribute performance honoring Chita Rivera, choreographed by Chet Walker. As a dance educator, Holly is currently on the dance faculty of Wagner College and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy both in the New York City. Holly spent four summers on the Ballet Faculty at the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts and was on the faculty and ballet mistress at St. Paul's School in New Hampshire, where she also taught dance academics such as Dance History.
Holly has extensive experience in public and private school dance education and has taught school residencies in dance throughout New York and Pennsylvania. As a choreographer, Holly's work can be seen on various companies and schools on the East Coast. Outside of the dance world, Holly is also a certified Pilates Instructor and Group Fitness Educator in New York City. Originally from Pennsylvania, she resides in Brooklyn with her husband and cat.
Nathan
Peck (New York City/Chicago)
Nathan is currently performing in Wicked in Chicago. He started dancing at the age of 4 in Plano, TX, and has been at it ever since. As a child, he studied with Tremaine Dance Convention, LA Danceforce, LA Underground, and several others. Nathan started dancing professionally at the age of 17 at Fiesta Texas Theme Park. He then studied and graduated college with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance Performance at Oklahoma City University, studying jazz, ballet, theater dance, acting, and voice.
After graduating, Nathan moved to New York City where he now works and resides. Nathan has appeared on Broadway in Dance of the Vampires starring Michael Crawford (Swing/Asst. Dance Captain), the Rosie O'Donnell produced Taboo, The Boy from Oz starring Hugh Jackman, and most recently appeared in the Tony award winning revival of La Cage aux Folles as Nicole. Nathan was also the Dance Captain of La Cage. He has also appeared on television in the West Side Story themed GAP commercials, on the 2004 & 2005 Tony Awards, on the Today Show, and played a bit part on the short lived series The Book of Daniel. He will also be featured in the upcoming Julie Taymor film musical Across the Universe.
As a teacher, Nathan has taught master classes in New York, New Jersey, and Texas. He emphasizes strong jazz and ballet based technique as well as using elements of modern in his choreography. Nathan truly believes in the interconnectedness of a dancer, his body, the nature of music, and the expression of emotion and the human condition through movement.
Shannon Elliott
(Sante Fe, NM)
Shannon attained her Bachelor of Science in Dance Management from Oklahoma City University, where she studied both business and dance performance. She had the opportunity to study dance intensively for a year while on scholarship at Tremaine Dance Center and the Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles. After graduating, she moved to Chicago to join River North Chicago Dance Company, where she danced for four years. She toured the country and performed works by several well-known choreographers, including Danny Ezralow, Kevin lega Jeff, Ashley Roland, and Randy Duncan.
Upon leaving River North, she pursued freelance commercial, performance, and teaching opportunities in Chicago before taking a full-time position as Office Manager at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. She enjoyed performing independent project work during this time, most notably with choreographer Lauri Stallings, in which she danced with principal dancers from the Joffrey Ballet and Hubbard Street. She performed with Hubbard Street in their annual choreographic workshop.
Other professional credits include performing eight musicals with Music Theater of Wichita, several TV appearances, and one major film. Shannon's teaching experience runs the gamut. She has taught both children and adults at one of Chicago's top downtown studios, the Ruth Page Center for the Performing Arts. She has taught underserved children in inner-city schools, as well as adults in a City of Chicago recreational program. She worked as a Teaching Artist for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago's Education Department, and choreographed a video for a pharmaceutical company's annual conference. Shannon recently relocated to Toronto to pursue her Masters at York University.
Kimberly Calore
(New York City)
Kimberly is an active Performer/ Instructor/ Choreographer with credits including: Radio City Rockettes/Ass. Dance Captain (10yrs), The Producers, Contact, Crazy for You, 42nd Street, Beauty and the Beast, RI Ballet Co., several Las Vegas Productions & Cruise Lines, TV/Film, and has worked along side Chita Rivera, Susan Stroman, Jerry Mitchell, Bette Midler, Nathan Lane, Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman and Mel Brooks. Recently featured in Dance Magazine, Dance Spirit, The Oprah Magazine, Dance Teacher Magazine, and in the newly published book, "The Radio City Rockettes: A Dance Through Time".
Kimberly was scholarship attendee of The Dance Teacher's Club of Boston, and has been instructing for 13 years. She is featured in "The Radio City Rockettes" technique video, and is an instructor for Broadway Dance Center's "The Rockette Experience". She is also on staff as a technical adjudicator for leading talent competitions and continues her passion of Guest Teaching/Choreographing nationwide.
Andrea
Hammond (New York City/Chicago)Andrea,originally from New York, is a world famous Radio City Rockette. She has performed numerous theater productions for Radio City, Disney-MGM, Disney-EPCOT, Sea World Orlando, and Universal Studios. Her work with the Walt Disney Company included both live theater as well as national television commercials.
In addition, she has been featured in many commercial shows for companies such as Redken, Liz Claiborne, Pfizer, Hewlett Packard and more. She has also appeared in In-Touch Weekly and has done work with Maxim Magazine.
During the summer, Andrea travels with Dance Caravan as a faculty member teaching lyrical and jazz. She also works during the year as an adjudicator for numerous dance competitions. When Andrea is not performing, her passion is teaching and adjudicating young dancers across America and Canada. Andrea is an active member of Actors' Equity Association and American Guild of Variety Artists.
Mary Capelles
(New York/New Jersey)
Mary is a performer, choreographer, and instructor. She performs as a Radio City Rockette (over 7 years) in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Mary has also performed in 42nd Street (European tour), Footloose, Guys and Dolls, and Carousel. As a Rockette, Mary has performed on the Great Stage at Radio City Music Hall as well as in the Great Radio City Spectacular in Las Vegas and across the country.
Mary teaches for several locations in New Jersey. she has been chosen to teach master classes for the Rockette Experience and Dance Masters as well as adjudicates across the country. Based in the New York/New Jersey area, Mary teaches Jazz, Tap, Musical Theater, Lyrical, and Ballet. Her students have gone on to major in dance at several universities across the country. She is certified in Mat Pilates from the Kane School based in New York, and she is currently working on her apparatus certification. Mary is a member of AGVA.
Lauren
Gaul (New York City)
Lauren graduated from Oklahoma City University Cum Laud where she received her BPA. Since then she has performed as a Radio City Rockette in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular all over the United States. She has danced with such companies as Tap Team II&Co., The American Spirit Dance Co., and Journey Dance Co. She has also danced in the Flobert's tap extravaganza in New York, the Elan Awards, and Dance Break.
She currently lives in New York City where she teaches and choreographs regularly around the area as well as assisting many well known choreographers on numerous projects. She regularly teaches the Rockette Experience at Radio City Music Hall, as well as teaching master classes in jazz, tap, musical theater, and lyrical all over the country.
In addition she has judged throughout the country and Canada for several dance competitions. She recently assistant choreographed an off-Broadway showcase of a new show Torched. She has also assistant choreographed industrials for Lady Footlocker, Sesame Street, IZOD Kids, and AstraZeneca. She assisted Rhonda Miller on choreographing a new show for Princess Cruise lines Cinematastic. Lauren has been assisting on Broadway Bares/Equity Fights AIDS benefit in New York produced by Jerry Mitchell. Her own choreography has been featured at Broadway Dance Center Performance Outlet, the Bridge for Dance, Jazz Dance World Congress, and most recently at Jacob's Pillow inside/out performance space. Lauren has also been on faculty at Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts Camp (Steambout Springs, CO) and Belvoir Terrace Performing Arts Camp in Lenox, MA where she teaches tap and jazz.
Summyr Miller Whaley
(New York City/Texas)
Summyr is a Radio City Rockette and is looking forward to next year! She can be seen as a lead dancer and as Miss Utah in the major motion picture Miss Congeniality, starring Sandra Bullock and Michael Cain. Summyr was Iris Kelly on the European tour of Fame the Musical, and was a back-up dancer for the Greek pop-star Nikos Vertis in Athens, Greece. Other regional credits include Annie Get Your Gun, Chicago, & The Music Man. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in Dance, and she loves to go back to teach dancers in her home state of Texas!
She has worked as a teacher/choreographer for the past 10 years. Teaching opportunities have allowed her to travel the country giving master classes, choreography, and pre-professional seminars. Summyr has appeared in numerous television specials, commercials, and industrials in both her native Texas and in New York City, where she currently resides.
Chrystie
Kenny (New York City/Upstate NY)
Chrystie Kenny was born and raised in Albany, NY. She began dancing at the age of five and for the next thirteen years performed in various shows and national dance competitions. Chrystie attended Marymount Manhattan College in NYC where she studied under master teachers from around the globe. She performed at the Marymount Manhattan Theater for four years, performing famous works created by various legendary choreographers. Chrystie received the Academic Excellence in Dance and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1999 and was immediately offered her first professional job as a Radio City Rockette.
Chrystie is entering her ninth season as a Radio City Rockette. Her Radio City credits include: The Radio City Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall and Christmas Across America, which has taken her to many cities across the United States. She has appeared on various television and radio programs, including NBC’s The Today Show and Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She choreographs special events and teaches for the Rockette Experience program through Broadway Dance Center in NYC. Chrystie has enjoyed performing in Regional Dinner Theater, the Arena Football League, and served as Dance Captain onboard Royal Caribbean’s, Explorer of the Seas. In 2004 Chrystie joined the production team at Royal Caribbean Production Studios. As a Studio Choreographer, she re-teaches and stages work created by world-renowned choreographers including Harrison McEldowney (Hubbard Street, Chicago), Sherri Zuncker (Broadway and River North Dance Chicago), Frank Chavez (River North Dance Chicago), and Laura Dunlop (Television and Commerical Industrials). Chrystie is continually been invited to teach at various dance studios and summer dance programs around the US.
As a dance teacher, her objective is to challenge the young dancers of today to push the boundaries of personal achievement in a positive way, not only influencing the best performers of tomorrow, but also encouraging and inspiring a love for the art of dance and entertainment. She teaches tap, musical theater, hip-hop, conditioning for dancers, ballet, and specializes in jazz. Chrystie has an affinity for helping dancers find the connection between strong, technical execution while expressing individual style.
Devert Hickman
(New York City/New Jersey)
A native of Louisville, Kentucky and currently continuing his career in NYC from Chicago, IL. He has most recently been seen in Radio City Music Hall’s annual Christmas Spectacular starring the “Rockettes” in his eighth consecutive season. Devert has been seen in Disney’s “The Lion King” national tour where he danced the role of the “birdman soloist” and the “ can you feel the love tonight” pas de deaux. Devert was also a Company member of ” Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago “ for six consecutive seasons and also served as Giordano scholarship choreographer, teacher for Giordano Dance Center, and master teacher for the Jazz Dance World Congress in Monterrey, Mexico and University at Buffalo.
